Sveti Nikola

Ulcinj is one of the oldest coastal cities with many historical and cultural monuments, fortresses, churches and mosques. Many buildings suffered purpose changing  depending on who was in power. Many churches were changed into mosques and renovated the opposite. The Cathedral Church of St. Nicholas had a similar fate. When the Turks invaded, the monastery was converted into a mosque. It was rebuilt as a church of 1890, in honor of the Montenegrins, who died in wars from 1878. It has nteresting iconostasis that it is a Russian origin. Best view of this church is from the old town where one can see a nicely decorated  garden with olives.
