Lesendro is an island-fortress in the Skadar Lake in Montenegro. It is located near Vranjina. The fortress was built in the 18th century. Former island is now a peninsula thanks to the construction of the railway Belgrade – Bar .
During Bishop Petar II Petrovic-Njegos served as a defense against the Turkish attacks and secure unimpeded fishing and trade.
