Photo Montenegro

Prčanj is located on the shores of Bay of Kotor, in the municipality of Kotor in Montenegro. It is mentioned for the first time in the documents in the archives of Kotor, starting from 13 century and it is the home of famous Boka’s warriors and skilled seafarers .

Today is Prčanj tourist place with cultural treasures and historic monuments that amaze visitors. Among them is particularly dominant parish church, dedicated to the Virgin Birth, on the slope of Vrmac, which is the largest churc in the Bay of Kotor. It was built in the period since 1789. to 1913. and was designed by the Venetian architect Bernadine Makarucia.
Prčanj is the birth place of the famous Ivo Vizin, the firs Slavic sailor who has sailed around the world.
