Krajina archipelago is a serie of about fifty islands and cliffs along the southwest coast of Skadar Lake. A number of interesting islands are not only cultural and historical monuments of past times, but represent a real bird paradise. Some of them have medieval monasteries, the other remains of fortifications, and one of them was once a prison. The largest island in the archipelago is Beška.
