Škrka lakes

Škrčka jezera When you are going further down to the central part of Durmitor you can see glacier cirque Skrka , which is the deepest and the biggest on the Balcan peninsula. Surely you have to visit in order to experience fully charm of Durmitor. Skrka is consisting of two parts : The first one is Veliko Skrcko Jezero(Big Skrka lake),which Jovan Cvijic has called ‘’green lake”;its altitude level is 1.686 m and its maximum depth is 17.2 m. The colour of water is green and it is also limpid to 8.5 m.by this characteristic this lake is among the first within all Durmitor lakes.The second one is Malo Skrcko Jezero(Small Skrka Lake).Its altitude level is 1.711 m and its average depth is 5.9 m.

Trnovačko lake

Trnovačko jezero Trnovačko Lake  is a lake near northwest MontenegrinLocated at an altitude of 1600 metres, it is a popular with local summer campers.It is 700 metres (2,300 ft) long and 400 metres (1,300 ft) wide set amidst a “huge amphitheater of rocky peaks”. The lake is drained from the Maglic, the Volujak and the Bioc hill ranges. The north side of the lake which is open has the wooded Vratnice. The lake water has a deep green-blue colour.

Stabna lakes

Stabanska jezera Stabanska lakes are located near the village Stabna, below the mountain Volujak in Plužinej municipality.

Stećci

Durmitorski stećci The Stećci (singular: Stećak), are monumental medieval tombstones that lie scattered across Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the border parts of Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia. An estimated 60,000 are found within the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the rest of 10,000 are found in Croatia, Serbia, and Montenegro.[1] Appearing in the 11th century, the stećci reached their peak in the late 14th to 15th centuries, before dying away during the Ottoman occupation.

The Stećci have been nominated to the UNESCO World Heritage List as Joint Cultural Heritage by the four countries in 2009.

Zeleni Vir

Zeleni Vir In the central part of Durmitor , on the altitude level of 2.028 m is situated Zeleni Vir(Green vortex) and it is not too far away from the most highest Durmitor peak, Bobotov kuk ,just 1 km. Golija

Golija

Golija is a  mountain and an area in Montenegro, northwest of Niksic. The mountain stretches between Niksic and Gatacko field at a distance of 25 km, and width is up to 8 km. The highest peak is 1945 m.
