Lipci Rock is an  archaeological cultural monument of the second category, because it contains prehistoric drawings showing deer hunting scenes, a symbolic sign of the rising Sun, as well as some other symbols. These scenes, according to the scientific findings, do not only represent reality, i.e. illustrate hunting as an occupation, but also the symbolic and magical imagery related to it. The art on the Lipci Rock represents the most complete ensemble of prehistoric Balkan art, where distant epochs of the spiritual life of the inhabitants of Boka Kotorska Bay can be studied. The art at Lipci, created in the 8th century BC, is the second oldest on the Adriatic coast.
